Dubai Water Canal<br />

he Dubai Water Canal is one of many<br />
great ideas that HH Sheikh Mohammed<br />
bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President<br />
and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of<br />
Dubai, had to add a unique commercial and<br />
tourist showpiece to Dubai, offering a new way<br />
of life. Sheikh Mohammed is always keen to roll<br />
out creative, visionary ideas that define new<br />
concepts for people's happiness and welfare.<br />
From an environmental perspective, the<br />
canal will enhance the water quality of the<br />
entire waterway, including the Creek, Business<br />
Bay and the Water Canal, by 33 per cent and<br />
increase the turnover of water in the entire<br />
system to four times a year. From a tourist<br />
perspective, the canal, with its engineering<br />
and architectural features, will act as a tourist<br />
hub that will raise the profile of Dubai as a<br />
go-to tourist destination.<br />
This ambitious canal project promises to<br />
change how yachting is perceived in the UAE,<br />
inspiring more people to explore the possibilities<br />
of on-water living and entertainment, and<br />
allow them to sail through the heart of Dubai<br />
within the comfort and safety of the canal. It<br />
will continue to be significant because it will<br />
remain for future generations to enjoy and<br />
develop further.<br />

للحياة يف دبي، فصاحب السمو يحرص دائماً على<br />
طرح الأفكار اخلالقة والروؤى اجلديدة التي تقدم مفاهيم<br />
مبتكرة تساهم يف حتقيق سعادة ورفاهية الناس.<br />
سيكون للقناة تاأثيرات اإيجابية يف جمالت عدة،<br />
فمن منظور بيئي، ستعمل القناة على حتسين جودة<br />
املياه يف املمر املائي مبا يف ذلك اخلليج التجاري،<br />
وخور دبي، والقناة املائية بنسبة 33 باملئة، وتسريع<br />
معدل دوران املياه يف املنظومة بالكامل اإىل اأربع<br />
مرات يف السنة. اأما من الناحية السياحية، فتعد القناة<br />
بهندستها ومعاملها املعمارية الفريدة مركزاً سياحياً<br />
متميزاً من شاأنه اأن يعزز مكانة دبي الرائدة على<br />
خارطة السياحة العاملية.<br />
اإضافة اإىل ذلك، سيساهم هذا املشروع الطموح يف<br />
تغيير مفهوم الناس يف دولة الإمارات حول اليخوت،<br />
حيث ستشجعهم القناة على اكتشاف طبيعة العيش<br />
يف اليخوت والستمتاع بالتنقل وسط قلب الإمارة<br />
النابضة باحلياة ضمن اأعلى معاير الرفاهية والراحة<br />
والسالمة التي توفرها قناة دبي املائية التي ستظل<br />
معلماً بارزاً يستمع به اجلميع، ويظل مصدر فخر لنا<br />
ولأجيالنا القادمة.<br />
