to be healed so they can do the<br />

“They stopped the treatment<br />

and they’ve decided to go with<br />

VOLUNTEER lifeguards from<br />

the <strong>Bay</strong> <strong>Harbour</strong> News area have<br />

been named as finalists in Surf<br />

Life Saving NZ’s Canterbury<br />

awards of excellence.<br />

The awards recognise those who<br />

dedicate many hours to being<br />

on patrol, keep clubs running<br />

behind the scenes, and lifesaving<br />

sport athletes who have shone in<br />

competition.<br />

Taylors Mistake Surf Life Saving<br />

Club’s Tisha Bradley-Jamieson,<br />

Patrice de Beer, Dave Smith, Ian<br />

Rae and Louis Clark have all been<br />

nominated for different sports<br />

awards, as have Sumner Surf Life<br />

Saving Club’s Craig Todd, Nick<br />

Tremewan, Huntley Quinn and<br />

Taylor Chamberlain.<br />

General awards nominees<br />

include Taylors Mistake’s Mike<br />

Smith and Sumner’s Wayne Simmons.<br />
