On the ioth day of February, 1850, a fire occurred in the city of Peoria,<br />
which destroyed the office of the Grand Secretary of the Grand Lodge of<br />
Illinois, and all the books, papers and records of said Grand Lodge, including<br />
the manuscript proceeding of the last Annual Communication. To remedy<br />
the loss as far as possible, the Most Worshipful Grand Master convened the<br />
Grand Lodge in the city of .Springfield, on Monday, the Sth day of April, A.<br />
D. 1850, A. L. 5850.<br />
