A glorious past and an amazing present<br />
Malaysia is one of the most important<br />
tourist destinations among the Far<br />
East countries. It classified as the ninth<br />
country globally and the first country in<br />
East Asia in this field. Tourism in Malaysia<br />
is one of the key sources of government<br />
revenues, with a total contribution of<br />
7% per annum to the national income,<br />
therefore, it was a great interest on the<br />
part of State in this vital sector and to<br />
devote efforts to expand and upgrade<br />
its infrastructure, improve its elements<br />
of prosperity and the development of<br />
promotion mechanism internally and<br />
externally. This trend encouraged the<br />
State of Malaysian tourism frameworks<br />
through the Ministry of Culture, Arts and<br />
Tourism since 1987, where this sector<br />
constituted an important tributary to<br />
overcome the financial crisis that swept<br />
the country in 2008.<br />
Statistics of Tourists:<br />
Since the mid-eighties of the last<br />
century, tourism in Malaysia has become<br />
a record that cannot be bypassed on the<br />
economic, social and cultural level, the<br />
number of tourists received by Malaysia<br />
in 2014 was more than 27 million visitors<br />
with an economic return of 7.99% of the<br />
national income of the state. The tourists<br />
coming from Singapore, Thailand,<br />
Indonesia, China, the Sultanate of<br />
Brunei, India, The Philippines, Australia,<br />
Japan and England were the largest<br />
number of tourists visiting Malaysia in<br />
this period. Recently the provinces and<br />
cities became favorite destinations for<br />
tourists from Arab countries, particularly<br />
from the Gulf countries after they<br />
found in this evolving Islamic country<br />
a comfortable place and hospitable<br />
culture to spend the holidays with their<br />
families compared to the countries of<br />
Europe and the United States, after<br />
smart marketing campaigns launched by<br />
the government for tourism in Malaysia<br />
through a wide range of websites that<br />
have been created specifically for this<br />
purpose.<br />
Kuala Lumpur – the capital and known<br />
as the gardens city, is one of the<br />
most famous cities of Malaysia in the<br />
field of tourism, where parks, rivers,<br />
mountains, historical and cultural<br />
heritage, in addition to its modern,<br />
amazing buildings are always ready to<br />
welcome its visitors. The two towers of<br />
the Malaysian oil company (Petronas) in<br />
Kuala Lumpur, which are located in the<br />
center of the commercial area of the<br />
city and one of the highest towers in the<br />
world with height up to 452 meters. The<br />
towers area includes a range of parks,<br />
huge commercial centers and famous<br />
restaurants. The bird park is one of the<br />
most important tourist attractions in<br />
Malaysia, and one of the largest parks in<br />
Far East Asia. It has most of the known<br />
bird species in the world, as well as an<br />
industrial lake and vast green spaces.<br />
Kuala Lumpur also includes a number<br />
of Chinese commercial markets, the<br />
National Museum, factory of souvenirs,<br />
Palace of horses and other tourist<br />
attractions and recreational sites.<br />
Malaga is beyond your imagination.<br />
Malaga comes as the second stage<br />
after the Kuala Lumpur city in terms of<br />
importance of tourism, in which this city<br />
includes group of sites of archaeological<br />
locations from the fifteenth century<br />
and is one of the most historic cities in<br />
Malaysia. In addition to the magnificent<br />
sandy beaches such as the most famous,<br />
Tanjung Beidara Beach beside the<br />
Cultural Museum, sound and light shows,<br />
Qamoza Fort, Dutch Castle, Trutkwerh<br />
mosque and other sights and scenes<br />
of tourists, the visitors really enjoy<br />
beautiful weather.<br />
Away from the capital Kuala Lumpur,<br />
many tourist destinations that are worth<br />
to visit are: the waterfront promenade<br />
in Penang, with the famous Chinese<br />
food; Alu Star the capital state of Kedah<br />
with the cultivation of oaks; along with<br />
Bahru the capital of Johor, Kangar, Kota<br />
Kinabalu, Motta Bharu, Kuala Terengganu<br />
which is famous for its beautiful beaches<br />
and turtles, Petaling the city of satellite<br />
and the scenic islands, Langkawi, Pangkor,<br />
Redang, Kabas, Lang Tengah, Rantau<br />
Abang Beach, Mabul, Tioman and Sipadan<br />
where parks and natural reserves are worth<br />
to be seen. In Malaysia, being a host of the<br />
tourists includes modern monuments and<br />
ancient archaeological sites in many other<br />
cities. We find the city of Georgetown,<br />
which is an attractive place for many<br />
tourists, and the city of Shah Alam, the<br />
capital of Selangor which is famous for<br />
the mosque of Sultan Salahuddin Abdul<br />
Aziz, and Shah blue-dome, which is the<br />
largest dome of in the world, while the<br />
