RECORD HISTORY
Throughout the latest service release for Rhino,
one of the tools that has been most greatly develop
is the RECORD HISTORY tool. With every service
release more and more tools are becoming compatible
with this feature.
The RECORD HISTORY tool allows for objects to tie
to one another on the bases of various copy functions.
For instance COPY, MIRROR, ROTATE, the different
types of ARRAY, as well as different types of
geometric modelling. So when an object has been
created on the base of curves or surfaces that have
been REVOLVED, LOFTED or FLOW ALONG SUR-
FACES, by changing the original curve or surface
the changes to the following REVOLVED, LOFTED
or FLOW ALONG SURFACES are implemented.
Via the COPY tool RECORD HISTORY can also do
out with the use of the BLOCK tool in many cases.
However, when using the RECORD HISTORY tool,
it is only to the original instance of an object that
changes can be made. Otherwise a warning appears
on the screen saying that your history is
about to be broken and that the instance of the
object will no longer be updated.
