Bars and cafés<br />
AMIGO BAR in Frederiksberg is a mixed bar with many<br />
gay customers.<br />
CAN-CAN is a traditional gay bar, not too big, and<br />
without attitude. The service is friendly, and it’s easy<br />
to start a conversation.<br />
CENTRALHJØRNET is the oldest gay bar in Copenhagen,<br />
but also one of the liveliest pubs on Copenhagen’s<br />
gay scene.<br />
COSY BAR is a lively place during the nights and<br />
early morning hours.<br />
JAILHOUSE has barred windows and small cells.<br />
JERNBANECAFEEN is a mixed bar next to the Central<br />
Station.<br />
KAFE KNUD is a nice café for people affected by HIV.<br />
MASKEN BAR attracts both young and mature men as<br />
well as lesbian customers. The atmosphere is very easygoing.<br />
MEN’S BAR is for men only. Very easy-going atmosphere.<br />
OSCAR is a gay café and bar, with an nice outdoor area.<br />
Danish and international magazines available.<br />
Dance venues<br />
BE PROUD is the biggest gay disco in Copenhagen. The<br />
music is mixed hits. Karaoke-bar every Friday and Saturday<br />
from 23:00.<br />
COSMO is a new Saturday club at The Loft, next to Be<br />
Proud. (Opening December 4).<br />
Eating out<br />
JAILHOUSE is a traditional gay restaurant.<br />
KAFE KNUD serves delicious and inexpensive meals,<br />
especially for people affected by HIV. Kafe Knud is open<br />
Tuesday and Thursday.<br />
OSCAR serves late breakfast, lunch, coffee, tea and cake,<br />
snacks and dinner.<br />
