Bars and cafés
AMIGO BAR in Frederiksberg is a mixed bar with many
gay customers.
CAN-CAN is a traditional gay bar, not too big, and
without attitude. The service is friendly, and it’s easy
to start a conversation.
CENTRALHJØRNET is the oldest gay bar in Copenhagen,
but also one of the liveliest pubs on Copenhagen’s
gay scene.
COSY BAR is a lively place during the nights and
early morning hours.
JAILHOUSE has barred windows and small cells.
JERNBANECAFEEN is a mixed bar next to the Central
Station.
KAFE KNUD is a nice café for people affected by HIV.
MASKEN BAR attracts both young and mature men as
well as lesbian customers. The atmosphere is very easygoing.
MEN’S BAR is for men only. Very easy-going atmosphere.
OSCAR is a gay café and bar, with an nice outdoor area.
Danish and international magazines available.
Dance venues
BE PROUD is the biggest gay disco in Copenhagen. The
music is mixed hits. Karaoke-bar every Friday and Saturday
from 23:00.
COSMO is a new Saturday club at The Loft, next to Be
Proud. (Opening December 4).
Eating out
JAILHOUSE is a traditional gay restaurant.
KAFE KNUD serves delicious and inexpensive meals,
especially for people affected by HIV. Kafe Knud is open
Tuesday and Thursday.
OSCAR serves late breakfast, lunch, coffee, tea and cake,
snacks and dinner.
