Prepare for the next emission level!
aktueller Forschungsergebnisse in Serienprodukte.
In 2011, the US EPA Tier 4 and EU Stage III B emission levels will come into effect,
for mobile engines with a power of 130 kW or higher. The lower engine-power
classes will follow a year later. This means another significant reduction of NOx
and particulate emissions, which requires a considerable reduction of raw emissions
as well as the introduction of aftertreatment systems.
Due to the necessary new technologies, the technical demands of this emission
level on the exhaust gas aftertreatment are as high as never before. The system
cost will rise significantly since complex aftertreatment technologies have not
been required until level 3 due to optimised internal engine combustion. But the
soon to be introduced level 4 requires exhaust gas aftertreatment.
The motor and engine developers are challenged with the task of finding the particular
overall optimum through customer demand and special operating conditions.
The opportunity is that current research results are quickly applied to mass
production. Learn more about the innovations and latest developments in exhaust
technology at the conference. Gain insight into the optimisation and advancement
of existing technologies as well as new concepts.
Who will you meet at the conference?
Managing directors, members of the management board, technical managers and
executive employees from the following sectors:
Exhaust gas, exhaust systems, exhaust gas aftertreatment
Emissions, emission systems, legislation, low-emission systems
Engine tests, otto and diesel engines, engine management
Westfalia exhaust hoses are used worldwide by most of the original equipment
manufacturers as decoupling elements in commercial vehicle exhaust systems.
In addition to providing the compensation of large installation tolerances, they
are also able to decouple axial, lateral and torsional operational movements.
Tightened emission laws are defining the development in vehicle construction
and thus of our components. With our innovation, the “Gastight Hose”
(www.gastighthose.com) we make our contribution to a pure environment.
