with a big TV
event
hochkarätige Künstler und Kreative
und eine Reihe von Stargästen das
Publikum in der Stadthalle und an den
Fernsehschirmen durch das Programm
von Graz 2003. Der russische Spitzendirigent
Valerij Gergiev feiert gemeinsam
mit Graz den 300. Geburtstag von
St. Petersburg. Zwei geniale Krimiautoren
treffen sich zum Weltgipfel in
Graz: Wolf Haas und Henning Mankell
diskutieren über „MigrantInnen“ in
Österreich und aller Welt. Und Ivica
Osim, Vizebürgermeister von Sarajevo
und Fußballlegende spricht über die
Weltreligionen in Graz. Die Weltarchitektin
und Powerfrau Zaha Hadid entwirft
Lebens- und Wohnbilder von
übermorgen: „Latente Utopien“, einer
der Austellungshöhepunkte des steirischen
herbst 2002 und von Graz03.
Und wer war Wanda Sacher-Masoch?!

TV-Star
This premiere in Graz is also a
European premiere: for the first time a
„Cultural Capital of Europe“ will be
inaugurating its year of events with a
spectacular TV show to be broadcast
on 3sat and ORF on January 11, 2003.
The presenter is the paragon of a
modern European: Désirée Nosbusch
who is fluent in five languages and at
home all over the world. Together with
Nosbusch, topnotch artists and creative
personalities as well as a number
of star guests will introduce the audience
in the Stadthalle and TV viewers
at home to the program for Graz 2003.
Top Russian conductor Valery Gergiev
will celebrate the 300th anniversary of
St. Petersburg in and together with
Graz. Wolf Haas and Henning Mankell
will talk about immigrants in Austria
and the rest of the world.
The internationally renowned
architect and powerhouse Zaha Hadid
will design images of life and living in
the future: “Latent Utopias”. And who
was Wanda Sacher-Masoch?! And
what’s hidden in the “Mountain of
Memories”?! And what is a “Lift to
Mary”?! “GRAZ 2003” – catch it and
fly high!
