Die Geschichte der BrUDer Spielwaren Gmbh & Co. kG reicht beinahe 90 Jahre zurück.
Im Jahr 1926 gründete Paul Bruder das ein-Mann-Unternehmen und produdie
spielfahrzeuge von
Bruder bestechen durch
große detailtreue und
vielfältige Funktionen.

Der Bagger hat die Baugrube ausgehoben und den abraum auf die anhänger
der Traktoren verladen als plötzlich ein uFO auftaucht und den
Fahrer des Bulldozers an Board beamen will. doch zum Glück hat der
bereits ein schutzschild um seine Baumaschine aufgebaut, so dass der entführungsversuch
der außerirdischen misslingt. dieses szenario spielt sich
natürlich nicht in Wirklichkeit, sondern im sandkasten und der Fantasie des
kindes ab, das gerade mit spielfahrzeugen von Bruder seine Zeit verbringt.
uFOs baut das Familienunternehmen aus Fürth nicht, dafür aber detailgetreue
spielfahrzeuge mit erstaunlich realen Funktionen. Wer als erwachsener
eines dieser Fahrzeuge in Händen hält, wünscht sich häufig wieder kind
zu sein.

lieferte. heinz Bruder, der Sohn des Firmengründers, trat 1950 in den
väterlichen Betrieb ein und sah sich bald nach neuen Geschäftsideen um. Diese
lagen in der kunststofffertigung. Bereits 1958 wurden die ersten kleinspielwaren
und kunststoffstimmen produziert. Fortan wuchs das Unternehmen stetig. ein
neues Fabrikationsgebäude wurde 1960 errichtet und bereits sechs Jahre später
erweitert. In den 1970er Jahren wurde der Firmenstandort um eine lager- und
versandhalle ausgebaut. BrUDer entwickelte stetig neue Produkte in den Bereichen
Fahrzeuge, Streuartikel und kleinspielzeuge. Der erfolg des Unternehmens
machte einen weiteren neubau notwendig, der 1981 abgeschlossen wurde.
Mit Paul heinz Bruder trat 1987 die dritte Generation der Familie in die Unternehmensführung
ein. ende der 1980er Jahre war der Firmenstandort auf 25.000
Quadratmeter angewachsen. Zehn Jahre später wurde das erste vertriebsbüro im
ausland gegründet. Die leitung der BrUDer toys america Inc. in Gardena, g

make uFOs, but it does produce toy models of its own vehicles with true-tolife
details and amazingly real functions. When holding one of these models,
many an adult has experienced a nostalgic longing to be a child again.
the history of BrUDer Spielwaren Gmbh & Co. kG dates back almost 90 years.
the company was founded as a one-man operation in 1926 by Paul Bruder. with
immense patience, he made reeds by hand, and these were then delivered to toy
trumpet makers. heinz Bruder, the son of the founder, joined his father’s company
in 1950 and soon began looking for new business ideas. he found them in plastic
manufacturing. By 1958, the company was producing the first miniature toys and
plastic reeds. after that, the company grew steadily. a new factory building was
built in 1960 and was extended just six years later. In the 1970s, a warehouse and a
shipping hall were added. BrUDer continued to develop a constant stream of new
products in three product lines, motor vehicles, promotion merchandise and miniature
toys. the company’s success meant that another new building was needed,
and this was completed in 1981. In 1987, Paul heinz Bruder joined the company’s
management team, representing the third generation of the founding family. By
the end of the 1980s, the company’s premises spread over 25,000 square metres.
the first overseas sales office was opened ten years later. BrUDer toys america Inc.
opened for business in Gardena, California, USa, and was managed by Beate Caso,
heinz Bruder’s daughter. even in the USa, BrUDer remained firmly in the hands
of the founding family. In the ensuing years, the toy manufacturer continued to
grow. today, BrUDer is one of the leading manufacturers of plastic toy vehicles
in the world, and employs a staff of 350. Its products are organised into six different
thematic categories and made with the aid of almost 100 injection moulding
machines at the site in Fürth-Burgfarrnbach.
end-TO-end prOducTiOn under One rOOF
From tractors to bulldozers to cranes, the models reproduce in miniature the full-size
products from world-renowned manufacturers, providing everything a child’s heart
could desire, to the delight of children and parents alike. all toys are faithful replicas
of the original machines down to the smallest detail in a scale of 1:16, and have lifelike
functions. For example, the telescopic arms of the cranes can be extended and
equipped with a wide range of accessories. the special appeal of BrUDer toys lies in
the innovative approach to the development and production of new toys in order to
ensure that they offer this kind of functionality. BrUDer uses cutting edge CaD computer
programs and 3D-design workstations to develop and design its toys before
they are passed to the mould making department in the same factory. here, the latest
CnC milling machines are used to make the mould inserts and add the individual
steel parts to create the final mould. when the injection moulds are ready, the proprietary
plastic production process begins. BrUDer only uses high-quality plastics,
such as are also used to some degree in the life-size automotive industry. the g
