Curriculum Kiel<br />
International Training in Dental Implantology<br />
The certificate testifying to the completion of the Curriculum is awarded by the DGI<br />
and the <strong>Heinrich</strong>-<strong>Hammer</strong> <strong>Institut</strong>e of the ZÄK-SH.<br />
Visiting program and supervised operation<br />
To be eligible for the final examination students need to spend two visiting days in offices<br />
or clinics of the faculty members or authorized experts. Implant placement and<br />
uncoverage, implant-supported prosthodontic rehabilitation and patient recall will be<br />
demonstrated.<br />
To be eligible for the final examination students also need to successfully perform a<br />
supervised operation. During it they will place at least one implant supervised by a<br />
Curriculum lecturer in their own office or at the HHI (patients, instruments, chairside<br />
assistant and surgical equipment to be provided by the students).<br />
The participants will organize these visiting days with their lecturer of choice and pay<br />
the fees directly to the lecturer. The lecturer will hand out a certificate of attendance<br />
and a certificate of the completed supervised operation. A copy of these certificates<br />
should be attached to the registration for the final examination.<br />
