Connecting to a DVD PlayerIf you want to connect a DVD player to your LCDTV, you can use connectors of the TV set. DVDplayers may have different connectors. Please referto your DVD player’s instruction book for additionalinformation. Power off both the TV and the devicebefore making any connections.Note: Cables shown in the illustration are notsupplied.• If your DVD player has an HDMI socket, you canconnect via HDMI. When you connect to DVD playeras illustrated below, switch to HDMI source. See,“Input Selection” section.• Most DVD players are connected throughCOMPONENT SOCKETS. Use a component videocable to connect video input. For enabling audio, usea component audio cable as illustrated below. Whenthe connection is made, switch to YPbPr source.See, “Input selection” section.• You may also connect through the SCART 1 orSCART 2. Use a SCART cable as shown below.Note: These three methods of connection perform thesame function but in different levels of quality. It is notnecessary to connect by all three methods.Using Side AV ConnectorsYou can connect a range of optional equipment toyour LCD TV..• For connecting a camcorder, connect to the VIDEOIN socket and the AUDIO SOCKETS. Do not connectthe camcoder to VIDEO IN socket at the same timesince it may cause noise in the picture. For selectingthe related source, see the section “Input selection”in the following parts.• To listen the TV sound from headphones, connectto the HEADPHONE jack of theTV.Using Other ConnectorsYou can connect a range of optional equipmentto your LCD TV. Possible connections are shownbelow.
