Fault:
The pump does not achieve
the required performance.
The pump runs but does
not deliver any medium.
Cavitation is occurring in the
pump.

Cause:
Drive machine is running
too slow (diesel or petrol
engine drive).
Incorrect direction of rotation.
Impeller clogged by contamination.
Safety valve not set to the
correct opening pressure
(bypass effect).
Check delivery and/or suction
valve.
Filter or pipe choked or blocked
with dirt.
With normally primed pump
without suction chamber:
Suction strainer blocked or
air in the pump.
The actual local feed head
is greater than assumed
at the time of ordering.
Resistance in the suction
line is too great.
Remedy:
BETRIEBSANLEITUNG
Adjust the speed in accordance
with the pump type
plate.
Have the direction changed.
Clean impeller.
Adjust safety valve.
Open delivery and/or suction
valve.
Check and clean filter or
pipe.
Clean suction basket. Fill
pump completely with medium.
Increase driving speed (not
possible with direct-coupled
electric motors) or install a
larger impeller.
Increase the drive power
or install different screw
shafts.
Reduce resistance on the
suction side by cleaning the
filter. Throttle the pump on
the suction side to have the
pump work at a favourable
holding press
