Cleaning, maintenance, care,lubricationEven after considerable use, yourANSCHÜTZ rifle will not require muchattention - a tribute to its solid design, firstclass materials, well proven ANSCHÜTZworkmanship and precision. If you followthe recommendations below, you will helpmaintain the excellent performance of yourrifle for a long time.Regular care after every shooting:•Please only use resin and acid free oils.We recommend our special grease 4425(Order No. 710.6310)•Clean the cone of the barrel with a slightlyoiled, lint-free cloth to avoid corrosionwhich might occur as a result of humidhands or condensed water.•To avoid corrosion you also should cleanyour barrel with a slightly oiled, lint-freecloth or cleaning cords pulling themthrough the barrel from the chamber tothe muzzle. Please use no other meansfor cleaning especially no VFG felt pellets.•Remove the oil film with a dry cloth orcleaning cords before you shoot again.Careful cleaning after approx. 2,000to 3,000 shots:•The barrel is cleaned with a brass brushfrom the chamber to the muzzle. Nevermove the brush back and forth in thebarrel.•Then pull cleaning cords in dry conditionthrough the barrel until the last one showsno considerable dirt.•After cleaning or before shooting thenext time fire 10 to 20 shots to get backto the former shooting performance (oilshots).•Clean external parts with a slightly oiledcloth.Maintenance of the trigger:•Lubricate the bearings slightly with coldresistant molybdenum disulphide greaseonce a year.•Spot a small amount of oil into thebearing parts using a needle.•The internal parts should not be washedwith spray or oil to avoid resin or otherresidues in the trigger.Attention:When cleaning the rifle no dirt, residues ofsolvents, grease or non-suitable oils mustget into the trigger mechanism. Wetherefore recommend either to clean yourgun in a way that it is horizontal or evenwith the stock up to avoid anycontamination of the valve unit and triggermechanism.Protect your rifle against dust, sand,humidity, heat and other harmful influences.Vacuum clean your gun case or soft guncase once a month to remove dust andlint. Gun cases and soft gun cases shouldhave a smooth and dust rejecting innerlining.Be aware that condensed water mightoccur as a result of temperature variations.In such a case it has to be removed at once.Leave your gun case or soft gun case openwhen you store them at home so thatpossible humidity can escape.Be aware of other possible changes ordamage.
