Eve Dyer, M.Clin.Psych. (AUS)B.Psych (Hons), M.Clinical Psych, Dip. Ego-State Therapy, Dip. Clinical Hypnosis, CertIV in Training and Workplace Assessment.Eve Dyer is a clinical psychologist and director of her practice in Brisbane, Australia. Shehas been practising psychology for close to a <strong>de</strong>ca<strong>de</strong> and has been using ego statetherapy for many years. She is organising and co-facilitating Ego State Training with DrGordon Emmerson in Brisbane for the second time in 2011. Eve is frequently referredclients with more complex psychopathologies including severe childhood abuse,dissociative disor<strong>de</strong>rs and trauma, and personality disor<strong>de</strong>rs and she finds ego statetherapy a critical part of achieving significant outcomes. Eve previously spent over 38years as an organisational and IT project consultant and project manager, has managingvery large IT implementation projects. She has worked in South Africa, England,Australia and Canada. In Canada she was Vice-Presi<strong>de</strong>nt for the company’s flagshipsoftware product and her team of more than 140 people was located in Canada, Indiaand Ireland. Eve has trained, lectured and presented seminars in both of herprofessional capacities, as organisational / IT consultant and as a psychologist; locally,nationally and internationally.M. APS College of Clinical PsychologistsDavid Edwards, Dr. (RSA)David Edwards (Ph.D) trained at Beck’s Centre for Cognitive Therapy inPhila<strong>de</strong>lphia/USA in 1984/5 where he atten<strong>de</strong>d seminars with Jeffrey Young, the<strong>de</strong>veloper of schema therapy. He has a longstanding interest in psychotherapyintegration and has done experiential training in a variety of humanistic andtranspersonal approaches. He is a professor at Rho<strong>de</strong>s University, where, until hisrecent retirement, he provi<strong>de</strong>d professional training and supervision in cognitive therapy.Over a long career, he has published some 70 aca<strong>de</strong>mic articles and book chapters,several of which are psychotherapy case studies. He has also co-edited a first year textbook and is the author of Conscious and unconscious, in the series “Core concepts inPsychotherapy.” He has been a practising therapist for thirty years and is a foundingfellow of the Aca<strong>de</strong>my of Cognitive Therapy. He is certified as a schema therapist by theInternational Society for Schema Therapy and offers training and supervision in schematherapy.Gordon Emmerson, Dr. (AUS)Gordon Emmerson (PhD) is a Honorary Fellow in psychology at Victoria University(Melbourne, Australia). He is author of the books, ‘Ego State Therapy’ (2003,2007), and‘Advanced Skills and Interventions in Therapeutic Counselling’ (2006). He has held thepositions of assistant editor of the 'Australian Journal of Clinical Hypnosis andHypnotherapy' and Victoria State Presi<strong>de</strong>nt of the Australian Society of ClinicalHypnotherapy.
