Rather than producing its own parts from raw materials, Dauphin obtains ready-made parts from selected suppliers,
many of which belong to the Dauphin holding company. All Dauphin then needs to do is carry out the final assembly
work. Of course, our environmental standards apply to products obtained from suppliers too. We work only with suppliers
which meet our environmental requirements as regards the handling of hazardous substances and waste. Our
environmental officer carries out regular on-site audits to ensure that this is the case.
At the same time as implementing internal company measures, we also minimise any possible impact on the environment
caused by our products – from the moment they are produced until they are finally disposed of. Indeed, the
foundations for an environmentally-friendly product are laid as soon as the product enters the development phase.
The careful and prudent way in which we use our materials leads to a demonstrable reduction in the overall amount of
materials required. Nowadays, recycled materials make up a large part of our products. We also use breathable foams
(PU). Finally, the fact that all expendable parts can be replaced increases the life cycle of the products considerably.
“Quality” is the key word in this context. Our high standards ensure that our products will last for many years to come
– the most valuable contribution we can make towards easing our impact on the environment. Once a product does
finally come to the end of its life, all components can easily be sorted according to specific types. All individual parts
weighing more than 50 g are marked and are 100 % recyclable.
