Batteries are the key technology for hybrid-electric and the heart of fully-electric flying. Two major approaches
assess the future potentials of batteries in aviation. First, as a result of a classical aircraft design, we define battery
specifications in order to fulfil the defined mission requirements. Second, due to the inherent physical-chemical limitations set
by the materials, we assess the development potential of battery technologies and define aircraft and mission requirements
or suitable applications thereupon. Both paths are pursued, but the second path gives a definite answer to the future potentials
of electric flying.
