The production of windows-, rollershutters
or siding profiles is taking
on more importance. PVC is mainly
employed for this production.
Profiles manufactured by extrusion

Granulation of Plastic Profiles
are normally 6 m long. Short
profiles from the quality control or
directly from window manufacturing
are accumulating. All
waste is economically size reduced
on PALLMANN Profile
Shredders, type PSP. The granules
so produced are reentered
into new production. Short profile
waste is fed via belt infeed.
Profiles up to 6 m long are fed via
a horizontal feed chute. Profiles
once seized by the rotor are drawn
in automatically and continuously.
The size of the cut granules is
determined by the screen mesh
size.
PALLMANN has been successfully
delivering special solutions,
oriented to the customers’
requirements and local conditions,
for the profile industry for
years.
In a two-step system, the content
of a cartridge full of profiles is
precut into sections and is then
reduced to final size in step 2.
Customers requiring the high
throughput rates use systems
such as these.
A guillotine cuts the profiles into
sections. A conveyor belt transports
the material into a knife mill,
type PS-H. A high quality granule
is produced which can, depending
on the extrusion technology,
be either directly reintroduced into
production or be pulverized.
PVC-granules are pulverized into
high quality powders in a
PALLMANN pulverizing system,
type PKM. The complete size reduction
process is automatically
controlled via SPC.
