Is there anything you like especially about Munich?<br />
SABRE: The attitude to young people. A lot of places in the UK are scared of their<br />
young people, fell threatened by their cultures, the way they speak etc.... I think<br />
Munich was a place where the young people and their culture fealt included, people<br />
trust the young with this city and its public spaces.<br />
If you had to put together a Drum & Bass Christmas song, what would you do and how<br />
would you call it?<br />
SABRE: I‘m a samples man...I‘ll take a sample from anywhere!! And ya know what I‘ve<br />
already sampled: music and speach from ‚Home Alone‘ ... so you could say I‘ve already<br />
made a christmas track, not going to be be telling anyone which track that is though!<br />
What is your New Year‘s pledge for 2008?<br />
SABRE: Do some exercise! When I first started doing international gigs I didn‘t really<br />
understand how tiring this lifestyle can be, and how unhealthy you get eating airport<br />
sandwiches and broken sleep patterns ... Now I gotta fix up, or I‘m gonna be burnt out<br />
by 30 if I dont!<br />
What is your favorite (non Drum & Bass)-track at the time?<br />
SABRE: Burial - ‚Shell of Light‘ from the new LP „untrue“. Simply because its incredible<br />
music; brave, nostalgic, textured, cinematic - it‘s perfect, I can‘t fault it! The other is<br />
Sizzla, „Just one of those days“ ..... I missed Notting Hill Carneval this year because I<br />
was on tour, and this for me is on of the ultimate carneval tunes! Summer on wax!<br />
How do you see yourself on your 50th birthday?<br />
SABRE: Retired I hope! Nah, outside of drum and bass I‘ve worked for BBC News for<br />
many years and I‘d like to return to the world of news and especially documentary<br />
after I‘ve had fun with music. In fact, outside of the world of art and music, the only<br />
thing I‘m massively passionate about is politics and current affairs.<br />
