We first tested whether ACh, the main neurotransmitter <strong>of</strong> the <strong>vagus</strong> <strong>nerve</strong>, or<br />
nicotine, that activates nAChRs, affected macrophage endo- and phagocytosis. In PMF<br />
(Fig. 1A-D), and spleen macrophage Mf4/4 cells (not shown), ACh <strong>as</strong> well <strong>as</strong> nicotine<br />
significantly (p
