Joe Francomano Scholarship<br />
The Achievement Foundation, Inc., an independent<br />
nonprofit organization, provides<br />
an annual award of $5,000 in memory of<br />
Joseph Francomano, a past president of<br />
Junior Achievement. The award, which may<br />
be renewed for a total of four years, can be<br />
used at any accredited four-year college or<br />
university for any program leading to a baccalaureate<br />
degree. Applicants must have<br />
completed the JA Company Program or<br />
JA Economics, and must have a minimum<br />
cumulative GPA of 3.0.<br />

The LAGRANT Foundation<br />
The LAGRANT Foundation is a nonprofit<br />
501 (c)(3) organization whose mission is to<br />
increase the number of ethnic minorities in<br />
the fields of advertising, marketing and public<br />
relations by providing scholarships, career<br />
development workshops, professional development,<br />
mentors and internships to African<br />
American, American Indian/Native American,<br />
Asian Pacific American and <strong>Hispanic</strong>/<br />
National Scholarships<br />
Latino undergraduate and graduate students.<br />
Our goal is to open the proverbial door for minorities<br />
by providing the necessary resources<br />
and tools not commonly available to many<br />
minorities entering the fields of advertising,<br />
marketing and public relations.<br />
Scholarship winners will receive a trip to<br />
New York City where they will participate<br />
in career building activities. This includes<br />
a welcome dinner with a keynote speaker,<br />
a day-long career development workshop<br />
and a scholarship recognition reception and<br />
awards program. During these activities,<br />
students will have the opportunity to meet<br />
industry professionals, network and gain<br />
exposure to the advertising, marketing and<br />
public relations world.<br />

La Unidad Latina Foundation, Inc.<br />
The La Unidad Latina Foundation was<br />
established in 1999 to serve as an independent,<br />
nonprofit, charitable organization dedicated<br />
to educational achievement and civic<br />
empowerment in the Latino community.<br />
Applicants must be currently enrolled in an<br />
eligible bachelor’s or masters degree program<br />
at an accredited four-year college or<br />
university. Undergraduate applicants must<br />
have a cumulative GPA of 2.80 – 3.60 out of<br />
a 4.0 GPA scale, and must have completed<br />
at least one full-time year of study. Graduate<br />
applicants must have completed at least<br />
one full-time semester of study. La Unidad<br />
Latina Foundation has supported outstanding<br />
students from universities and colleges<br />
across the United States with scholarships<br />
ranging from $250 to $1,000.<br />
