Scholarship Program<br />

Sponsored by National Society of <strong>Hispanic</strong><br />

MBAs, the NSHMBA Scholarship Program<br />

is open to U.S. Citizens or legal permanent<br />

residents of <strong>Hispanic</strong> heritage who are<br />

enrolled or planning to enroll in a Master’s<br />

Degree program in Management/Business<br />

at a college or university in the U.S. or<br />

Puerto Rico accredited by the Association<br />

to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business<br />

(AACSB). Applicants must have a minimum<br />

grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or<br />

the equivalent) from either a bachelor’s degree<br />

or master’s degree or have a minimum<br />

grade point average of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale<br />

(or the equivalent) from a bachelor’s degree<br />

in combination with two years of full-time<br />

work experience. Applicants must also be a<br />

current NSHMBA member (member ID required).<br />

If potential applicants are currently<br />

not NSHMBA members, they may join at the<br />

time of application at www.nshmba.org.<br />

In addition, NSHMBA has teamed up with<br />

several colleges and universities across the<br />

United States in the hope for increasing the<br />

number of <strong>Hispanic</strong> students completing<br />

bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Financial<br />

assistance has been made possible by the<br />

participating universities for outstanding<br />

<strong>Hispanic</strong>s.<br />

Organization of American States (OAS)<br />

The Organization of American States (OAS)<br />

is committed to promoting and supporting<br />

human development and strengthening<br />

bonds between Latin American countries<br />

through its scholarship program.<br />

OAS-funded scholarships are awarded to<br />

students pursuing their undergraduate or<br />

graduate degree in an OAS Member State.<br />

Scholarships are awarded for a minimum<br />

period of one academic year and a maximum<br />

of two academic years. Several scholarship<br />

opportunities are made available<br />
