Tooling & Workholding
Lathe, Machining Center Tooling
New patent-pending K Column modular clamping and
machining system is designed for difficult-to-machine work
on horizontal machining centers. The K Column through-
feed tombstone-style workholding solution brings “bar feed
technology” to all brands and sizes of HMCs and will be
integrated into an Okuma HMC in the Okuma booth. Also,
Velocity will display its line of ultra-bright, energy-efficient
Velocity LED lights for machine and
work area lighting and exhibit the
A new line of tooling for Okuma
lathes will be introduced.
Automatic Pallet System
Model A30SD automatic pallet systems
(APC) have been expanded to adapt to
most brands of machining centers with
travels up to 150 × 50" (3810 × 1270
mm). The APCs are servo-driven and
have been redesigned for faster pallet
change time. They are easily installed
on the right side or the left side or sometimes
on both sides of a new or existing
machining center to reduce floor space,
eliminate unnecessary spindle downtime
and lost profit. Costly downtime
can be minimized with manual, rotary,
lift off, and shuttle pallet systems with
pallet sizes from 8" (203 mm) diameter
to 12 × 10" to 72 × 30" (304 × 254 mm
to 1828 × 762 mm).
Solid-Carbide Ball
Nose End Mills
Die mold series of solid-carbide
ballnose end mills are designed for
hard milling mold applications. The
material and application-specific tools
allow machinists to use the newest
most productive high-speed machining
techniques to achieve superior
finish, requiring little or no handwork.
End mills have an advanced geometry
