Robert C. Blackberg<br />
retired shipping clerk for M.I.T.<br />
WILMINGTON - Robert C.<br />
Blackberg, a resident of<br />
<strong>Wilmington</strong> for 10 years, died<br />
September 3. 1997 at his<br />
daughter's residence, following a<br />
lengthy illness.<br />
Bom in Springfield 88 years ago.<br />
he lived in Cambridge prior to<br />
moving to <strong>Wilmington</strong>.<br />
A veteran of World War II. Mr.<br />
Blackberg served as a rifleman<br />
with (he 11 th Armored Division in<br />
Germany and Austria.<br />
He was employed as a shipping<br />
clerk with Mass. Institute of<br />
Technology where he handled<br />
technical supplies.<br />
Mr Blackberg was the widower<br />
of Thelma (Wright) and the lather<br />
of Ruth Abramo of Stoneham,<br />
Phyllis Szidat of Acton. Roberta<br />
Brennan of <strong>Wilmington</strong> and<br />
Shirley Myers of Stoneham.<br />
Robert Blackberg. Jr. of Florida<br />
and John Blackberg of E.<br />
Sandwich. Eighteen grandchildren<br />
and 23 great-grandchildren also<br />
survive.<br />
Funeral services were held at the<br />
Nichols Funeral Home Friday,<br />
September S followed by burial in<br />
Ml. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge<br />
with the Rev. Herb Taylor of the<br />
<strong>Wilmington</strong> United Methodist<br />
Church officiating.<br />

Grace I. (Aldrich) Bratt of<br />
Tunkhannock. PA, formerly of the<br />
Boston area, died Thursday.<br />
September 4, 1997. at her<br />
residence following a lengthy<br />
illness.<br />
Bom in Boston 77 years ago, she<br />
was the daughter of the late John<br />
F. and Joanna M. (Frazier)<br />
Aldrich. She grew up in Medford<br />
where she graduated from<br />
Medford High School with the<br />
Class of 1937.<br />
Prior to retirement, Mrs. Bratt<br />
and her husband Kenneth L., Sr.<br />
ran poultry farms in New<br />
Hampshire for 21 years; North<br />
Carolina for 20 years and in<br />
Pennsylvania for several years.<br />
Mrs. Bratt was also a program<br />
administrator for the United Way<br />
Foundation for many years.<br />
Among her occupations Mrs. Bratt<br />
took a great deal of pride in her<br />
parental role, she was very devoted<br />
'to raising her children and<br />
grandchildren.<br />
Mrs. Bratt is survived by her<br />
husband of 55 years. Kenneth L.<br />

CAMBRIDGE - Lena M.<br />
(Manganaro) McDermott, 88. of<br />
Cambridge, died September 2,<br />
1997 at the Cantabridgia Nursing<br />
Home in Cambridge.<br />
Bom in Boston March 16, 1909,<br />
she lived in Cambridge all of her<br />
adult life and prior to retirement<br />
was employed as a meat packer.<br />
Mrs. McDermott was the widow<br />
of James McDermott; and is<br />
survived by her daughter and<br />
son-in-law. Eleanor Higgins and<br />
Margaret A. Muise<br />

WILMINGTON - Margaret A.<br />
(Pomenville) Muise, 60, of<br />
<strong>Wilmington</strong>, formerly of Maiden,<br />
died September 2, 1997 at her<br />
residence.<br />
Born in Maiden, she was the<br />
daughter of the late Albert and the<br />
late Sylvia (LeBlanc) Pomenville.<br />
She lived in Maiden during her<br />
youth prior to moving to<br />
<strong>Wilmington</strong> 33 years ago.<br />
Mrs. Muise is survived by her<br />
husband Joseph Muise; her<br />
children, William J. of Merrimack,<br />
MA, Diane Paris of Dracut, Nancy<br />
Laventure of Bedford, N.H. and<br />
Janet Hickey of Hudson, N.H; her<br />
her children Kenneth L., Jr. and<br />
his wife Beth of Tunkhannock. PA,<br />
Richard F. and his wife Amy of<br />
Mililani, HI. Janice L., and her<br />
husband Anthony Querci of<br />
<strong>Wilmington</strong>, MA and Susan L. and<br />
her husband Michael Smeltzer of<br />
Daytona, FL; her brother John F.<br />
Aldrich of Braintree, MA.<br />
She was the grandmother of<br />
Ethan, Emily, Aaron and Jordan<br />
Bratt of PA, Kevin and Katherine<br />
Grace Bratt of HI, Gina (Querci)<br />
Duchemin, Edward and Michael<br />
Querci of <strong>Wilmington</strong>, MA, and<br />
the late Christian and Cody Bratt.<br />
She was the great-grandmother of<br />
Vincent and Nicholas Querci,<br />
Derek Duchemin, and the late<br />
Gianna Marie Duchemin.<br />
Funeral services were held from<br />
the Blackington, Conroy & Hayes<br />
Funeral Home, West Newton, MA.<br />
Interment followed in the family<br />
lot in Milton Cemetery, Milton,<br />

LYNN - William T Prince. 71,<br />
of Peabody, formerly of<br />
r <strong>Wilmington</strong>, died September 7,<br />
1997 at Union Hospital in Lynn.<br />
Bom in Everett, the was the son<br />
of the late Leslie L. and the late<br />
Gladys M. (Grundy) Prince.<br />
During World War II, he served as<br />
a private in the U.S. Army. He<br />
lived in <strong>Wilmington</strong> for many<br />
years before moving to Peabody<br />
nine years ago.<br />
A retired truck driver, he was<br />
engaged primarily in hauling<br />
heavy equipment. He was a<br />
member of the<br />
Tewksbury-<strong>Wilmington</strong> Lodge of<br />
Elks #2070.<br />
Mr. Prince is survived by his<br />
dear friend Mary A. Lapham of"<br />
