TEWKSBURY - James J.<br />
Salamone Sr., 68, died Tuesday af-<br />
ternoon, September 9,1997 at Low-<br />
ell General Hospital<br />
Bom in Boston, April 21,1929. he<br />
was the son of the late Vincent and<br />
Evelyn (Brace) Salamone and lived<br />
in East Boston before moving to<br />
Tewksbury in 1965. He served with<br />
the U.S. Army during the Korean<br />
War and worked as a driver for Team<br />
sters Local 25 at the Chelsea Oil<br />
Distribution Center.<br />
He is survived by two daughters,<br />
Margaret Teasley of Va., Patricia<br />
Selig, of Va.; two sons. James J.<br />
Salamone Jr. of N.J. and Robert<br />
Salamone of Tewksbury; two sisters.<br />

position of Lexington <strong>Town</strong><br />
Manager.<br />
According to an item in the<br />
Woburn Times/Chronicle, the<br />
Registry of Motor Vehicles was<br />
scheduled to open a new office on<br />
Salem Strecl in Reading. The new<br />
office was planned to serve<br />
individuals only and dealers who<br />
register multiple vehicles at one<br />
time would continue to use (he<br />
Woburn office.<br />
A contract for the installation of<br />
traffic lights at the intersection of<br />
High Street and Middlesex Avenue,<br />
was awarded to Tro-Com Corp.,of<br />
Woburn. Completion of the<br />
installation was expected in May,<br />
1988.<br />
