for younger children is entitled<br />
Can You Imagine ? and invites<br />
readers to discover the everyday<br />
occurrences of their lives that<br />
might become the inspiration for a<br />
book. Eth Clifford's classic<br />
mystery. Help! I'm a Prisoner in<br />
the <strong>Library</strong> is displayed with a<br />
variety of alphabet books.<br />
Anthologies such as The Viking<br />
Treasury of Children's Stories<br />
conjures up old favorites and<br />
remind us of the joy of literature.<br />
Upcoming fall events<br />
Celebrating New England -<br />
Friday, October 3 at 7 p.m. Davis<br />
Bates will present a program of<br />
stories and songs to celebrate the<br />
season and our New England<br />
Heritage. This performance is<br />
made possible, in part, by a grant<br />
from the <strong>Wilmington</strong> Arts<br />
Council, which is supported by the<br />
Massachusetts Cultural Council.<br />
Although the program is free,<br />
tickets are required. Tickets will<br />
be available at the library on<br />
September 22.<br />
