New fall hours for resource center<br />
In order to meet the changing<br />
needs of the general public, the<br />
NCECP Community Resource<br />
Center in Stoneham is announc-<br />
ing new fall hours.<br />
Teachers, caregivers. parents,<br />
and children are welcome to<br />
visit the CRC any Tuesday or<br />
Friday from noon to 4pm and on<br />
the third Sunday of the month<br />
from 10am 2pm (in conjunction<br />
with the monthly Kans for Kids<br />
redeemable can and bottle<br />
drive). Anyone attending one of<br />
the NCECP Workshops can visit<br />
the CRC before and after the<br />
session.<br />
The CRC is located at the<br />
NCECP Office/Training Site at<br />
Our Place, 53 Central Street,<br />
Stoneham.<br />
On hand currently is just the<br />
right stuff for back-to-school<br />
needs. Educators will be pleased<br />
with the selection of binders,<br />
dividers, notepads, folders, bul-<br />
letin board items, oak tag, spe-<br />
cialty papers and assortment of<br />
mylar and laminating materials.<br />
Youngsters can stock up on<br />
stickers, foam pieces, cylinders,<br />
and lots more for home or<br />
school projects (Halloween will<br />
be here soon). For just a $3<br />
donation, visitors can pack a<br />
grocery bag full of items of their<br />
choice. Plus, all ages are thrilled<br />
with the many Toobers & Zots<br />
which are available separately.<br />
Drop by and check out the many<br />
samples of fabulous "creations"<br />
made by volunteers and visitors<br />
during the summer vacation.<br />
The success of the CRC is due<br />
to the efforts of The National<br />
Coalition for Early Childhood<br />
Professionals, Inc., a local non-<br />
profit organization benefitting<br />
children by supporting teachers<br />

and families since 1991, with<br />
assistance from the Stoneham<br />
Business and Community Edu-<br />
cational Foundation and area<br />
businesses and individuals.<br />

clean, safe materials can con-<br />

Bike Fest '97 for MS<br />
Join the National Multiple<br />
Sclerosis Society for one of the<br />
most beautiful bike tours in<br />
Massachusetts! On Saturday,<br />
September 20, take part in<br />
Oceanside Bike Fest '97,an excit-<br />
ing bike tour which takes<br />
cyclists through scenic coastal<br />
communities of the South Shore<br />
the tour winds through the<br />
rocky shores of Scituate and<br />
Cohasset and allows cyclists to<br />
take full advantage of the area's<br />
forests and parks.<br />
Oceanside Bike Fest '97<br />
promises to be a fun tour with<br />
many great prizes for out partic-<br />
ipants! This year the top fund<br />
riser will win a get away week-<br />
end in the Berkshires with tick-<br />
ets to Tanglewood. Additional<br />

over 7,000 families in<br />
Massachusetts, typically strik-<br />
ing between the ages of 20-40,<br />
multiple sclerosis can rob a per-<br />
son of the ability to walk, speak<br />
clearly or see. It can even para-<br />
lyze. Each mile ridden at<br />
Oceanside Bike Fest '97 will<br />
raise funds for national research<br />
and also local support services<br />
for people affected with multiple<br />
sclerosis, many volunteer oppor-<br />
