For the past five seasons, no one has been able to dethrone the Tewksbury Memorial High School Girls Fall Track Team as league champions. Once again TMHS looks to retain their crown. "When you're the champion, everyone is gunning for you,"said Coach Bob MacDougall. With talent from top to bottom on the roster, TMHS should once again be the clear front runners. "Our strength is our depth,"said MacDougall, who is in his 31st year of coaching. "Our top seven will be very strong. The next seven will be pretty strong as well. Sometimes 111 have the luxury to rest the top seven for big matches. Not too many teams can do that. It shows how good are runners are and how hard they work." Starting with the seniors, this team is loaded from top to bottom. TMHS will be led by senior captains Jenn Takach, April Lambert, Nicole LeBoeuf and Janel Mootrey, a very talented group that any coach would love to have on his or her team. MacDougall also hopes they provide terrific leadership. Re- turning seniors are Tiffany Driscoll and Rachel Neff. Jennifer Barnes, Danielle Bastien, Michelle DiFelice, Sarah Gillotte, Meghan Goodhue, Kerri Greenan, Jennifer Ivas and Nicole Morandi comprise the returning juniors. Returning sophomores are Kim Angelo, Shannon Bancroft, Lisa Cons- tantino, Lauren Marcotte, Laura Petros and Leanna Trombino. Incoming freshmen are Kerri Aherne, Sarah Fitzgerald, Amie LeBoeuf and Carolyn Hannus. Also new to the team is sophomore Nicole Allard. The goals for the team are simple according to MacDougall. "We went 10-0 last year and finished second in the states. We'll try to repeat as league champions and try for first in the states. That's our goal every year," said Mac Dougall. WHS boys cross country preview Bradley hopes for strong season by Stephen Repsys Snorts Correspondent The Wilmington High School Boys Cross Country team should have a strong season with eleven starters from last year returning. According to first year head coach Tom Bradley, the runners he is most impressed with is junior Jason Crescenzo, Paul Cheney and sophomore John Gillis. Returning is senior Robert Houle. Another senior, but new to the team is Arthur Moscufo. Mike Carr and Kevin Bourinot are returning juniors. Returning sophomores are Greg Montero, Paul DeGennero, and Jonathan Parker. Also on the team is talented newcomer, fresh- man Jason Stark. What Bradley likes is the different combinations he can use. "We have enough numbers. There is a nice mix. It's a matter of each of them to run hard to their potential," said Bradley.
