The Wilmingt<strong>on</strong> Board of Selectmen<br />
will hold a public hearing <strong>on</strong> September<br />
22. 1997 at 7:15 p.m. in Room 9 of <strong>the</strong><br />
<strong>Town</strong> Hall. 121 Glen Road: Wilmingt<strong>on</strong>.<br />
The purpose of <strong>the</strong> hearing is to receive<br />
comments <strong>on</strong> possible projects for <strong>the</strong><br />
<strong>Town</strong>'s Ready Resource Fund applicati<strong>on</strong><br />
to <strong>the</strong> Massachusetts Community<br />
Development Block Grant Program<br />
(CDBG). The Ready Resource Fund of<br />
<strong>the</strong> CDBG Program, administered by <strong>the</strong><br />
State Department of Housing and<br />
Community Development, provides funds<br />
to communities for ec<strong>on</strong>omic development<br />
activities in <strong>the</strong> areas of loans and technical<br />
assistance to businesses and<br />
microenterprises, public facilities,<br />
infrastructure and public services.<br />
Proposed activities are a small business<br />
and microcnterprise loan program and a<br />
job training program. The <strong>Town</strong> of<br />
Wilmingt<strong>on</strong> will implement <strong>the</strong> proposed<br />
projects through its Community<br />
Development Program.<br />
Any individual or organizati<strong>on</strong> wishing<br />
to be heard will be afforded an opportunity<br />
