Lancashire company Solarlec has
been chosen by one of its suppliers to join
a prestigious partnership scheme.
USA-based solar panel supplier
Sunpower has set up the partnership
scheme to recognise its most trusted
retailers across the world.
Solarlec, one of Sunpower’s few
authorised UK dealers, said it was
honoured to accept its position in the
scheme.
Companies must meet strict
requirements in order to gain entry
to the partnership scheme, including
giving Sunpower access to a number
of installations of its products to carry
out technical inspections on the level of
workmanship displayed.
Solarlec, winner of Burnley Small
Business of the Year 2011, installs more
than 1,200 panels every month across the
UK
Centrosolar online tool
now also available
internationally
The German solar company
Centrosolar is launching an Englishlanguage
version of the Centrocheck
planning tool to the international market.
Centrocheck is now available to help
installers plan solar installations in any
country from Austria to Vietnam. It
complements the already established
tool for clients in North America where

installers use a special online portal
customized for that market with unique
design and financing capabilities. Each
country version automatically includes
the solar panels, inverters and the countryspecific
calculation basis available for use
in each particular country. In addition to
installers and solar professionals, home
owners can also use the free online tool
to precisely plan individually-tailored
photovoltaic systems based on Centrosolar
panels.
Centrocheck is the only planning
system that comprehensively covers
project design. The intuitive tool provides
all the information necessary to plan,
build and operate a photovoltaic system.
Centrocheck can be used online under
www.centrocheck.com without having to
be installed on the user’s computer. There
are two different versions available: The
basic version works without logging in
and uses preset values for all calculations,
making it particularly well-suited for
home owners.

material is a non-conductive wood and
thermoplastic polymer composite that is
moisture and heat resistant, with more
than 18 years of proven outdoor durability
and reliability.
Commercial installers are
responding to SOLquick’s ease-of-use
and unique attributes, with more than
5,000 SOLquick units, totaling over 1.5
MW, currently being installed across the
country. In June, Arizona installer Solar
H20 & Electric completed the installation
of 160kW SOLquick units on a high school
in Tucson, AZ. Over 900kW is currently
being installed on two national retail chain
stores in New Jersey by Connecticutbased
commercial integrator Greenskies
Renewable Energy LLC. By the end of
September, 270kW will be installed on a
cold storage facility in Oregon by Energy
