Ideally suited for 80ft plus yachts requiring a compact antenna size with global
satellite TV service reception. The t80 antenna locks onto satellites quickly and
multiple HD receivers can be connected to the system as standard, providing a
truly hands off global coverage depending on the regions visited.
The t80w version includes the patented WorldView LNB which automatically
switches frequency depending on the region the antenna is operating in. As the
satellite TV provider is selected electronically, there is no requirement to purchase
multiple LNB modules, reconfigure complex systems and manually change the
LNB unit inside the antenna dome each time the vessel crosses into a different
satellite service region.

How do I receive HDTV?
First, you must have a high-definition television
set, along with an activated HD receiver.

Control Unit (ACU) enables you enjoy full range
of HD broadcasting.
In the UK, HD programming is available through
the Sky network or by using a FreeSat box. In
the US, HD channels are available from Dish
Network and Bell TV with the addition of a
multi-satellite interface module (MIM). This
electronic switch provides automatic switching
between satellites.

Can I have more than one TV on my boat?
One Intellian antenna can be connected with
multiple TVs. If each screen has its own satellite
“set top” box (eg Sky Plus, FreeSat etc) you can
watch different channels on each TV. However, if
you only have one satellite set top box, all of the
TVs will show the same channel -

The v80G offers reliable, “always-on” broadband connection at sea. It acquires
and locks onto the satellite without requiring a separate input from the ship’s
gyro-compass. It is built to meet or exceed industry and military standards for
vibration, shock and EMC for the greatest reliability in any sea conditions.
It is the smallest antenna that works without the need for a spread spectrum satellite
network transmission. This provides a compact system in a TDMA or SCPC
transmission format. The higher-gain performance design enables the antenna to
operate on the fringes of the signal footprint.

“I’m sailing from Europe to Asia - can the
Intellian satellite TV antenna be used in
different regions?”
The Intellian antenna models for Asia and Europe
may appear to be identical physically but there
are distinct differences in hardware inside the
antenna - the Low Noise Block (LNB) used to
convert the satellite signal into an IF signal is
specific to the geographic location - this applies
to any brand of SatTV antenna. It is impossible to
receive Asia satellite signals using the European
version and vice versa. If the vessel is installed
with the European system and the vessel is
cruising into Asian coverage then the system will
become inoperative and will need to have the
LNB replaced by an authorized Intellian Service
dealer. Intellian recommends if you are going
to travel to different geographical regions (North
America, South America, Africa etc), please contact
an authorized Intellian dealer in advance to
check if there is any specific adjustment needed
to be made.
