NIGHTHAWK 10-8
above: 10-8’s mainspring housing is from
Guncrafter Industries, with recessed
lanyard loop.
pistol. Note the grime on the gun—we
ran the gun without cleaning until we
were filthy from handling it.
the extractor. Nighthawk uses no MIM
parts in the gun. Unique to the frame
is the front strap, which is dished out
standard dustcover-equipped 1911s with
little or no modifications, which makes
it easier to use holsters already in service.
Second, the 10-8 guys feel that pistol
lights are an important part of your
lowlight toolbox and believed the gun
needed to come ready for a pistol light.
The test pistol came with a Dawson
rail adapter for the Surefire X200. While
