Investigati<strong>on</strong> of Temporal and Cumulative <str<strong>on</strong>g>Effect</str<strong>on</strong>g>s BKAM/CR<br />
Stati<strong>on</strong> Little Tow lane 1 stati<strong>on</strong> B appears to be located in hummocky muddy sand with nearby<br />
sand waves. Project-related gear impacts were clearly visible <strong>on</strong> the September 30 th and<br />
November 20, 2002 s<strong>on</strong>ar imagery. Door scours observed in November appeared slightly wider<br />
and deeper than those observed in September, possibly due to the influence of the November<br />
storm. Door marks were observed within approximately 12-meters of the centerline of lane 1<br />
near stati<strong>on</strong> B. <str<strong>on</strong>g>Gear</str<strong>on</strong>g> impact al<strong>on</strong>g the majority of the lane at this locati<strong>on</strong> was likely caused by<br />
the sweep of the net, chain and cookies.<br />

As shown <strong>on</strong> Figure 3.2.2.4 –4a (above) and Figure 3.2.2.4-4b (below) the majority of grab<br />
samples collected in September and November 2002 were located slightly to the western side of<br />
trawl lane 1 in an area shown to have been heavily impacted by project-related door impacts.<br />
