3.2.3.3 Comparis<strong>on</strong>s of July 2001 and July 2002 Grain Size Data<br />

Sediments at both Mud Hole and Little Tow stati<strong>on</strong>s selected for sampling in 2002 were similar<br />

in grain size to those reported at the same sites in July 2001. The modal grain size was medium<br />

sand.<br />

The median grain sizes at Mud Hole in July 2001 and July 2002 were 0.26 mm and 0.29 mm,<br />

respectively. The median grain sizes at Little Tow in 2001 and 2002 were 0.26 mm and 0.27<br />

mm, respectively. The medium sand c<strong>on</strong>tent tended to be higher and the percent coarse sand<br />

lower in July 2002 than in July 2001. There was very little material in the size of coarse sand or<br />

greater at Mud Hole or Little Tow (
