This qualification provides enabling competencies
to design and validate/evaluate electrical
equipment and systems and provide technical
advice/sales. This program leads to direct
employment for graduates as Electrical/Electronic
Designers, Technicians, Industrial designers,
Equipment repair and manufacturers, Engineering
Associates in government and large engineering
industry, and a host of other occupations.
Delivery method
A minimum of 20 hours per week face to face in
the classroom.
Assessment method
May include test/exam, written task/assignment,
practical task and RPL.
Career opportunities
This program will increase a graduate’s
employability across a number of industries
including: electricity (design, supply and
distribution), rail, industrial engineering and
renewable energy.

Entry requirements
• IELTS 5.5 or equivalent
• Year 12 with Sound Achievement in English
and Maths or equivalent, or successful
completion of Certificate III or Diploma of
Engineering or equivalent
• Mature-age entry may also be considered.
