no refund of fees will be payable for the current
semester, but all subsequent fees will be payable
at local rates.
If the Department of Immigration and Citizenship
(DIAC) stops a student from studying, fees will not
be refunded for the current semester, but all other
tuition fees paid in advance will be refunded.
If a student withdraws from study for any reason
other than initial visa rejection:
• more than 28 days before the program
starts, the first semester’s tuition fees
will be refunded, minus an administration
charge of 10 per cent of instalment paid
• less than 28 days before the program
starts, the first semester’s tuition fees
will be refunded, minus an administration
charge of 20 per cent of instalment paid
• after the program starts, the first semester’s
tuition fees will not be refunded.
If a student becomes seriously ill or is required to
return home due to exceptional circumstances of
a compassionate nature (such as death or severe
illness of the immediate family) and can no longer
continue their study, SkillsTech Australia may
refund the balance of unused fees.
This fee refund is wholly at the discretion of the
Institute Director. Appropriate evidence, such as a
medical certificate, will be required.
Should a student be expelled from SkillsTech
Australia at anytime, fees already paid will not be
refunded.
Appeal
Should an application for refund be refused,
written notice detailing the reasons will be issued
to the student. A written appeal may be lodged
with the Institute Director within seven days after
written notice is given.
