Fees, policies and procedures
Conditions of enrolment
1. The student is expected to attend all
classes, undertake all assessments and
examinations (applicable to the study
program), and abide by the rules and
regulations of SkillsTech Australia.
2. The contract between the applicant and
SkillsTech Australia is governed by the laws
of the Commonwealth of Australia and the
State of Queensland.
3. International students must meet the
minimum English Language and Academic
requirements for entry into the program.
Access, equity and diversity
SkillsTech Australia promotes an environment
which is fair and equitable and free from
discrimination and intolerance.
SkillsTech Australia will not tolerate discrimination
or harassment of any kind and will take the
appropriate action as per the Student Rules.
Awards
To obtain an award, students must have
successfully completed all requirements of the
qualification within the specific timeframe and
have paid all fees.
Students with any outstanding fees or debt with
SkillsTech Australia will receive a letter explaining
that their award will not be issued until all
amounts are paid.
Academic appeals
Students who are dissatisfied with academic
decisions may apply for a Re-evaluation of
Assessment within 14 days of receiving their
results.
Students dissatisfied with the outcome have
a further Right of Appeal as stated in TAFE
Queensland Student Rules.
Deferral, suspension and
cancellation of enrolment
Deferrals, suspensions and cancellations of
enrolment can only occur under very specific
circumstances.
New students must submit a written request to the
International Office.
Continuing students must submit a written
request to the relevant Business Manager and
the International Office must be advised of the
response. All program deferments require a new
agreement and payment of current tuition fees in
place at the start of program.
Disclosure
Students are required to advise SkillsTech
Australia of any information which may impact on
their ability to undertake the program, i.e. illness,
injury, disability, learning or support needs.
SkillsTech Australia is required under Section 19 of
the ESOS Act 2007 to advise DIAC about changes
to the student’s enrolment and any breach of
SkillsTech Australia
