24 Gala Dinner Saturday 24 March 2012, 20h00 – 24h00 A gala dinner with an exceptional menu is organized at the Hotel Parc des Eaux Vives, one of the finest in Geneva. You will have the opportunity to enjoy the dinner in a relaxed and elegant atmosphere. Formal attire is required. Because of the limited number of places available, reservations are on first come – first served basis, so please book the evening in time. Cost: CHF 150.- per person We propose you to enjoy an evening at the restaurant le Parc des Eaux-Vives. The restaurant le Parc des Eaux-Vives, is housed in a historical 18th century building located within the beautiful Parc des Eaux-Vives and boasts a grand view of Lake Geneva. PRACTICAL INFORMATIONS Altitude 374 m (1,227 ft) above sea level Climate Average temperatures: winter 3°C (35°F), summer 18°C (64°F) Currency and exchange The currency is Swiss Francs (CHF). One Franc is divided into 100 centimes. The exchange rate to the € as per March 2012 is CHF 1.00 = €0.83 or $1.1. Automated teller machines (ATMs) that accept international bankcards are available throughout the city, including one across the street from the CICG. Most credit cards are accepted in the majority of hotels, restaurants and shops. Foreign cash, including Euros is not uniformly accepted. Driving In town 50 km/hr. (30 km/hr. in some areas), outside built-up areas (national roads) 80 km/hr., highways 120 km/hr. A tax sticker, “vignette”, is compulsory to drive on highways and semi-highways. Valid for 1 year at CHF 40.– (on sale at post offices, garages and customs posts). The wearing of seat belts, both in front and back seats of vehicles, is compulsory. Electricity The current used throughout Switzerland is 220 Volts (AC). Outlet plug dimensions differ from those used in other European countries, especially UK, and North America. Therefore, adapters are usually required for foreign electrical equipments. Languages Official language: French.
