Dear colleagues,
The organizing committee wishes you a warm welcome to Geneva for
this First International Sialendoscopy Conference (FISC2012).
We would like to express our thanks to Professor Eugene N Myers,
for honoring us with his presence.
We are extremely happy to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the
Sialendoscopy hands-on courses launched in Geneva. We had the opportunity to train
physicians from all continents for this challenging technique, and the strong collaboration
between us has allowed the creation of the European Sialendoscopy Training Center
(ESTC). The originality of ESTC courses is that they are always dispensed by a vast group
of experts from all around the world.
Organising a conference on a small topic of our speciality was a challenge, and we can be
very grateful towards our colleagues: out of 200 meeting participants from all continents,
more than 70 ESTC faculties do attend. We thank them for their important scientific
contribution. We will have 21 key-note lectures, 6 round tables, 37 oral communications
and 20 abstracts. The best oral presentation and the best poster will be selected by a
committee of famous international experts, and win Karl Storz awards.
The University of Geneva, the Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, the
General Beaulieu Clinic, the Medical Beaulieu Society, the AAORL-HNS, the EAORL-HNS,
the IFOS, the AOAOS, and the UEMS ORL section will be supporting this highly specialised
sialendoscopy conference.
We would like also to thank the remarquable support from the Karl Storz company for
the development of sialendoscopy and it’s events.
The social program has not been forgotten, and we will do our best to make this FISC2012
as enjoyable as possible. We wish you a pleasant stay in Geneva.
