b) The Secretary of the Order of the Chivalry. Where the Secretary of the Order of Chivalry<br />
is unavailable or has a conflict of interest, an alternate member of the Chivalry will serve<br />
as the replacement.<br />
c) A representative appointed by the Crown. Where the Crown's representative has a conflict<br />
of interest, the Crown must appoint an alternate.<br />
C. QUARTER COURT OPERATIONS<br />
1) The Quarter Court meets quarterly (at each Crown Tourney, Pennsic, and a winter event<br />
chosen by the Court's members) if there are issues on the docket.<br />
2) Decisions are reached by majority vote of the Court members.<br />
3) Minutes of all court proceedings are taken and passed on to the Crown and the Society<br />
Marshal.<br />
4) All decisions of the Quarter Court are considered final, but may be appealed to a <strong>Kingdom</strong><br />
Court of Chivalry, subject to the provisions for those courts in <strong>Kingdom</strong> Law and Corpora.<br />
5) Any decision of the Quarter Court shall remain in effect as indicated unless reviewed and<br />
overturned, augmented, or otherwise altered by a <strong>Kingdom</strong> Court of Chivalry, the Crown,<br />
Society Marshal or the Board of Directors of the S.C.A., Inc.<br />
3.4.4 KINGDOM COURT OF CHIVALRY<br />
The nature and function of this court is defined by the Corpora of the Society and the Laws of the <strong>Middle</strong><br />
<strong>Kingdom</strong> and therefore is not discussed here.<br />
