the roads of Ireland from April<br />
13 to April 28 for the 1996 <strong>Comhaltas</strong><br />
Concert Tour of Ireland . The<br />
performers, all champions in their own<br />
ri ght, were drawn from the four<br />
provin ces of Ireland . Several leading<br />
champion performers from Britain,<br />
including ace fiddle pl ayer Brendan<br />
McGlinchey, were included in the<br />
group. Also included was that<br />
outstandin g Fea r a' Tf Paddy Fallon<br />
w ho held audiences spell bound during<br />
his many tours.<br />
The tour was spon sored by Bu s Eireann<br />
w ho transported th e travelling minstrels<br />
on th eir w histle-stop tour of the four<br />
provinces. This 'mobile fleadh cheoil' is<br />
now one of the most attracti ve items on<br />
the cultural ca lend ar.<br />
Th e Tour commenced in Dublin with a<br />
laun ch concert on April 13 fo llowed by<br />
