SPECIAL HOMES NEEDED
FOR NERVOUS KITTENS
St Neots & District Cats Protection have several nervous kittens in our branch
that are looking for that extra special home. Experienced cat owners
preferred, homes with adults only or with much older children where you
are at home quite a lot in order to give these kittens the extra love and
attention they really need.
We have 3 black & white 14 week olds (boys), 1 ginger/white 5 month old
boy and 1 tabby and 1 tortoiseshell both female who are both approximately
5 months old now.
None of these kittens are agressive but show nervous reactions when
exposed to new people and unusual situations. It is important that your
home has access to a garden and is not close to a busy or main road. We
would not home these kittens where there are young children.
With your patience, time and love, these kittens will become loving pets.
When you take them home, they will have had their first vaccination, been
treated for fleas and worms and had a vetinary health check.
If you think you have what it takes to meet the challenge of these beautiful
kittens phone us today on and we will arrange a no home visit.
Cambourne Garden Club
‘Pimms in a Cambourne Garden’ was the title of
our August meeting. Didn’t quite work out like
that though as at 7.27, three minutes before the
start time, the heavens opened. So we drank
our Pimms and ate our nibbles indoors, looking
out at the garden through rain-streaked
windows. But a good time was had by all in
spite of the weather, and when eventually the
rain abated, we were able to get outside for a
short walk round the garden, although by then
it was getting dark and not easy to see
anything! Hardy lot, us gardeners, and it hasn’t
put us off doing a similar event next year.
September’s meeting will have been and gone
by the time this comes out, but the October
meeting will be a Question and Answer session
hosted by our resident expert, Debbie Walker,
and none other than the Hairy Potter!
So put it in your diary and come along with your
gardening problems: October 23 rd starting at
8pm for coffee, chat and plant swap.
Cambourne Youth Partnership – presents: Imagination Our Nation
Cambourne Youth Partnership and Start-Arts wants to hear from young people who would like to take part in this very ambitious four
year cultural celebration culminating in 2012. Over the next four years participants can go to workshops on costume design, drumming,
dance and music and can begin to use their skills to help create a mini Carnival as part of the Cambourne Youth Street Festival next
summer. The workshops and classes require no prior experience and will build over the next four years so that Cambourne’s young
people can join thousands of others from across the country in a variety of events during the lead up to mass celebrations in 2012.
If you want to find out more about the opportunities to get involved in carnival please come to the Cambourne Soul for a very short
meeting at 6.00pm on Thursday 16 th October to meet the team and to see how you can get involved.
For further details about project please contact: Richard Brown, Start Arts Development Manager for the Comberton/Cambourne area:
