The CBDE is a copy of the <strong>Choose</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Book</strong> live application <strong>and</strong> is pre-populated with dummy data. It is to be<br />
accessed by accredited users to demonstrate the functionality <strong>and</strong> scope of the <strong>Choose</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Book</strong> service. The<br />
CBDE can be accessed from<br />
https://nww.demo.ebs.ncrs.nhs.uk<br />
You must have access to NHSnet/N3.<br />
The CBDE is a st<strong>and</strong>alone environment – it is not integrated with any external clinical system or with the NHS<br />
Care Records System (Spine). The CBDE provides you with two distinct areas (a <strong>Book</strong>ings <strong>and</strong> Referrals area<br />
<strong>and</strong> a Service Creation area) each with a different set of data <strong>and</strong> roles associated to it (see pages 17 <strong>and</strong> page<br />
39 for further details of each area).<br />

You do not need a smartcard to access the CBDE<br />
Connectivity<br />
NHSnet/N3 connection<br />
Minimum 256k b<strong>and</strong>width connection; recommended 512k.<br />
Please be aware that on a busy network with a low speed connection to NHSnet/N3 the CBDE may perform more<br />
slowly.<br />
