2 MS. WIERZBICKI: Some of these things
3 involve costs and some of them don't. We have met with
4 Dr. Sherman, I don't know if you want to address this,
5 this is --
6 DR. MAXEY: I can. Dr. Sherman, we met
7 with him and he was very much in support of this,
8 including finding the money for it. It could come out of
9 the PLA budget; it might not, but the issue, and I don't
10 know, Bethany, if you know about this; he called me
11 yesterday and wanted to revisit this whole plan, because
12 the criticism is, or the concern is, that we are
13 isolating those kids into a certain part of the building
14 and that will have negative consequences. He wants us to
15 revisit --
16 I said wait a minute now, we talked about
17 centering just math, English and social studies in that
18 one area, but they still have to go out for their art
19 class, their PE class, their CTE class, and science
20 class. So really it's three classes are in there, not
21 all of them. Doesn't that satisfy the need to have them
22 embedded into or connected to the total school.
