Becky (Ryan) Hecht I graduated from CSCA in 2003 and then moved to Lookout Mountain, Georgia to study at Covenant College. I completed my undergraduate degree at Covenant in sociology, specializing in interpersonal counseling. In the spring of 2007, I immediately began working on a master’s degree from Liberty University in school counseling. I completed my master’s degree while working at Covenant as a career counselor. I met my husband Brandon while attending Covenant and we were married on July 7th, 2007 along with millions of other couples on that happy day. In June of 2008, we relocated to Davie, Florida where Brandon is attending Nova Southeastern University as a medical student and I am working at Sheridan Hills Christian School as a high school guidance counselor. We are expecting our first baby this summer!!! Kelli Holz I graduated in 2003, and headed to Gainesville to earn my Bachelor’s in Elementary Ed at UF. Last month I finished my Special Education Master’s degree and I came back to CSCA to teach third grade for the rest of this school year. In July, I am getting married and moving to Indiana, Pennsylvania with my future husband. My sister Nicole, who graduated in 2002, also finished school at FAU with her Bachelors in Special Education and is living in Iowa teaching high school. She was married on June 13th to Nate Van Wyk. My brother Andy, who graduated in 2005, will graduate from Norwich University in Vermont in May. He will have his Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice. He played football while he was there. He is planning on attending law school and is also getting married next January! Lindsey Muller I began CSCA in 6th grade and graduated from CSCA in 2003. I attended Lehigh University (Bethlehem, Pennsylvania) for a year and the first semester of my sophomore year before transferring to Auburn University (Alabama) due to change of major from Biological Sciences/Pre-med to Mass Communications. After taking a summer internship with CNN/TBS out of Miami, I found out that Mass. Comm. was not for me and I returned to my true love of science and helping others. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Auburn University in May of 2007 with a B.A. in psychology. In August of 2007 I started graduate school at Valdosta State University (Valdosta, Ga) in the clinical/ counseling psychology Master’s program. I will be graduating August 1, 2009 as Valedictorian of the program! I have been accepted to the University of Iowa Ph.D. program in School Psychology which I will begin mid-August. Within the (at least) 6-year program, I will focus my research on Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. Boomer Labriola I went to CSCA from 1st grade to 12th grade and graduated in 2003. After CSCA I played college baseball at Lynn University for two years on a scholarship; my sophomore year I blew out my knee and proceeded to get my real estate license when I was 19 years old. I currently work with The DuPree Team/The Keyes Company Real- 8 | The Legacy tors as a Buyer/Listing Specialist; we are based out of Coral Springs/Parkland. I am also in the entertainment management industry as well; I am currently the Tour Manager for Liza Minnelli. Last but not least, I am a Diamond Director for a network marketing company which is TRIPS. Amanda Dianne Tarr I attended CSCA from September 2001 and graduated class of 2003. I had a short but wonderful stay at CSCA. After graduation I packed up and moved to Fort Worth, TX to attend Texas Christian University (TCU - GO FROGS!!!). I graduated from TCU in May of 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies with an emphasis in Business. I relocated again to Savannah, GA to be closer to my family and open a company with my father, called 1800Radiator. We sell aftermarket radiators and A/C condensers for cars, primarily to auto repair shops. I was the Director of Sales and Customer Service for a year and half and have since decided that I dislike working in sales and want to teach middle school mathematics and coach soccer! I am currently in the midst of that career change and part of that process is getting into a master’s program, most likely at Georgia Southern University. I look forward to reading about how everyone is doing! Kelly Kuter I attended CSCA from kindergarten in 1990 all the way until graduation in 2003. After that I headed to FAU to start my undergrad career studying biology and chemistry, got really involved on campus, and loved every second of it. Then I transferred to UF, joined a sorority, had a lot of fun, and graduated in 2006. I started grad school the following fall at UF for pharmacy. I am currently in my third year. In 3 weeks I start clinical rotations where I will be traveling around the state working at different hospitals and pharmacies dealing directly with patients and optimizing their medication regimens. Next May I will graduate with my Doctorate in Pharmacy. I am so very blessed that this is my life! After graduation, I am considering doing a residency in infectious disease or oncology, the two areas that interest me most. At this time, I am unsure, but I am excited to see what comes next! I think back on CSCA and have a lot of great memories from my years there. Even the backwood Gainesville people laugh when I say that I graduated with only 39 other people. I’m very happy to see how much both CSCA and all of my fellow Crusaders have grown in just a few short years! Amanda Devlugt I graduated in 03 and started college up at Flagler College. Finished my major in Business Management and International Finance at UNF and from there was transferred with my current Hotel Management up to good ole Maryland. Traveled around the country and Spain for a year, training managers and auditing hotels for them. I’m finally settled, with my Masters in Hospitality Management, managing a Hilton in Baltimore until Dec. After that, who knows!
Class of 2004 Caitlin Horwood Hey everyone! I attended CSCA from kindergarten all the way up to graduating class of 2004. I then attended the University of Florida and graduated December of 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, specialization in Animal Science. I am working as a veterinary nurse and absolutely loving it. My job brings something new and interesting every single day, and I wake up excited to go to work every morning. I am extremely excited to be moving to Los Angeles with Steven Crowley (who I met at CSCA in 7th grade, also class of 2004) at the end of the month. He has had a lot of success doing what he loves, acting. He’ll be appearing next in the February 10th episode of Without a Trace. We are very blessed, and excited to see where life will take us!! Stevie Neale I started attending CSCA in preschool circa 1990 and 14 short (which at the time seemed long) years later I was graduated and on my way to attend the University of West Florida. I have recently finished a double major in Musical Theatre and Political Science Pre-Law and will be technically graduating in May with honors. During my time at UWF, I participated in 13 plays and musicals, co-founded a touring Musical Theatre Troupe, worked as the assistant to the Education and Outreach Director of the Pensacola Opera, finished an honors thesis, studied Dante’s “Inferno” in Florence, interviewed Congress members and staffers in D.C., trained to be a yoga instructor, and many other things that would make this already extensive bio far too long. I am currently working as the youth minister at a Nazarene church in Pensacola and have plans to pursue a Master’s in Religious Studies and then to continue in the ministry wherever God leads. And perhaps one day, actually use my undergraduate degrees. Christine Chessler I graduated from CSCA in 2004 after attending for 13 long years! In August of that same year I started my undergrad work at the University of South Florida and graduated in May 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Immediately after graduation I took advantage of my first summer off and went backpacking through Europe which turned out to be an amazing life experience! As of August 2008 I moved to Valdosta, Georgia and started my Masters degree in Biology, with a concentration in Conservation Biology, at Valdosta State University. Right now I teach two freshmen introductory Biology labs in addition to conducting my thesis’ research focused on threatened gopher tortoises. I’m excited to see where my Masters degree will take me--but I’ve got until May 2010 to wait for that! :) Melanie Manson I transferred from Florida Atlantic University in 2005 and headed up to Kennesaw State University near Atlanta to finish my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. I will graduate fall 2009! (Finally!) After I graduate I plan to stay and teach here because I love it oh so much! Not married or anything yet, but my 2 dogs keep me company :) Hi everyone! Rachel Keller I graduated in 2004 and headed to Tallahassee with the intentions of attending FSU, majoring in Criminology and then attending law school. Well I did part of it, I attended FSU, majored in Criminology and English but instead of law school, I attended Pat Thomas Law Enforcement Academy. I decided to stay in Tallahassee and have been a deputy with the Leon County Sheriff’s Office for a year. I graduated FSU in December of 2007. Take care...
