Class of 2002
Kim (Wharton) Harden
Formerly Kim Wharton, I attended CSCS since 6th grade,
now CSCA! Remember that change along with the gym addition.
I graduated in 2002. I attended UF briefly, traveled
overseas, worked fun jobs and eventually finished my degree
at FAU in Social Worker, Child Welfare. I am currently
working on my Masters and working full time. I work for
ChildNet, the foster care agency in Broward. Working with
high risk teenagers is what I do ALL day and sometimes at
night. On the weekends I hang out with my husband of 3
months. He is a fire fighter in WPB and teaches at Kieser
College. No kids in the works, although my husband often
acts as one! But we have plans to have a house full of them
in the not so distant future. For those of you who remember
my mother, she is wonderful and enjoying retirement!
I recently ran into Dr. Orsino while in North Carolina and
he hasn’t changed a bit, mustache and all! Glad to see everyone!
Best wishes!
(As of today, Kim and Eric are expecting their first child in
November. Congratulations and much love to the Harden
family!)
Carolyn Shuttlesworth
I started to attend CSCS in Pre-K, 3rd and 4th grade then
I left to attend Westminster Academy for a few grades but
came back in 10th grade when it was CSCA and graduated
class of ‘02!! In my opinion the best :) After I graduated I
moved into a dorm with Dene’ Rosario f/k/a Dene’ Argenti
at FAU. I was there for about 1 ½ until I moved up to Virginia
Beach, VA where I finished my 2nd year at Regent
University. I was hired at a law firm as a receptionist and
have been there for over 3 years now. After working there
for 1 year I caught on quickly and was promoted to Real
Estate Paralegal. I absolutely love my job and what I do,
but it comes second to what my husband and I do.
I met my husband at the church that I started going to
when I moved to VA. We got married April 22, 2006. He is
the associate pastor as well as the youth pastor and music
director. Our life is completely dedicated to the ministry
and seeing souls saved in these last days. We are so blessed
and very busy in all we do!
Donald H Dresson Jr.
I graduated in 2002 and I went to college at FIU for about
2 and a half years. I stopped just short of my AA, but I may
go back and finish it one of these days. I have been in a
steady relationship for about the past 9 or 10 months with
a girl from my new church. She also just happens to be
the daughter of the Senior Pastor and it has been a great
chance to get to know them and their family. I can feel that
perhaps the Lord is leading me down a path and I can possibly
see myself getting married to her in the future, but
we will have to wait and see. Presently I am working at
Wachovia Bank doing document encoding...have been doing
it for more than a year now. I am attempting to get
a job with the United Postal Service so I can earn more
money and better benefits to prepare for my future. All in
all life is pretty good at the moment.
6 | The Legacy
Meghan (Dotson) Galvez
I graduated from CSCA in 02, and still love to think back on
all the AMAZING moments spent with friends! I am living
in TX now with my husband, Hector and our four children.
Joshua, 13, lives with his mother in Daytona, but spends
holidays and summers with us! Christopher 4, Chloe 3,
and Sophie 18 months, keep us busy year round. We are
very blessed to be surrounded by family and friends, and I
look forward to every moment I can spend with them. For
those of you that know Jordan (my brother-graduated 04)
he is doing well, too! He and Jessica were married in August,
and they live just a few minutes down the road. The
kids love having them come over and play!!! May GOD
truly BLESS you all!! GO CRUSADERS!!!
Dene (Argente`) Rosario
Went to CSCA when it was CSCS for middle school and
then came back for my senior year and graduated 2002! I
am in my final year as a double major at FAU. I am married
to my high school sweetheart and have two beautiful
little girls, Giovanna (18 months) and Liliana (4 months).
I am working with the family real estate company but
thinking about going to school after I finish my degrees to
become a nurse!
Kazumi Takenaka
I graduated from FAU in December of 2007, and currently
in my second year of teaching at CSCA. I am teaching high
school math and also coaching volleyball and softball!
Rebekah De La Ossa
Hi all. I graduated in 2002. I finished my AA and am working
on my BA. I took a few years off to get married and
divorced to another fellow CSCA alum. I am currently
living in Davie, FL. I am a leasing consultant for Equity
Residential, a property management company. I love what
I do and look forward to what is ahead for me in the future.
I don’t miss being a teen and do NOT miss high school. I
think I got along better with the faculty rather than the
students! I miss Ms. Duresky but was happy to see she has
a facebook of her own. There were many other teachers/
staff, like Mrs. Enser and Mrs. Shoemaker that still hold a
place in my heart. I wish the best to all the alumni and am
glad that this profile was created.
Kiley Thaxton
I graduated from CSCA in ‘02 after attending there sophomore
to senior years. As a major math lover, I introduced
CSCA to Mu Alpha Theta which I am not sure if it is still
going or not. I live and work full-time in Fort Lauderdale.
I am an office manager for a sales office as well as a part
time wedding/event photographer. I am also a student at
BC for Business and Nursing. I start the RN program May
12 and Lord willing; will be an RN by December ‘10. I will
also be finishing my Associates in Business this semester. I
plan to continue my studies in both areas. I hope to work as
a midwife eventually with the business as a fall back. I am
currently engaged to the love of my life! We have not set a
date, right now we are just enjoying each other’s company
and cherishing every day that God has given us together.
Thanks staff for putting this together for us!
