Guidance
—Christine Englert
Secondary Guidance Counselor
Coral Springs Christian Academy High School
opened its doors in 1996 with 100 students. In
2000, CSCA graduated their first senior class of 12
students. The high school has excelled and grown
in many areas including enrollment, course offerings,
sports, fine arts, and numerous activities.
CSCA began its college preparatory curriculum
with core honors courses and one Advanced Placement
class. Adding AP courses each year, CSCA
now offers students 12 AP options:
AP English Literature and Composition
AP Calculus AB
AP Statistics
AP Biology
AP Environmental Science
AP Microeconomics
AP American Government
AP World History
AP U.S. History
AP Spanish
AP 2D Art
AP Drawing Portfolio
As I look to begin my seventh year at CSCA, I am
excited to see what God has planned for the future
of this high school. I am blessed each day by the
exceptional students who walk these halls. Their
spiritual commitment, love for each other, academic
motivation, and the close relationships that bond
the students, faculty and administration are what
make this school a second home for me and many
others.
CSCA has graduated a total of 420 students and
another 55 will cross the stage and receive diplomas
at the end of May. Thank you for supporting
this ministry and please pray for the continued
leadership of the administration as we guide students
to excel academically and grow in their faith.
CSCA Athletics
—Steve Fitzgerald
Athletic Director
The athletic department at Coral Springs Christian has come a long
way in the short amount of time since the decision to add a high school.
Not only has it grown in number of sports available (CSCA currently
has 14 varsity sports), it has also grown into a very successful program.
Of the 14 varsity sports, 10 have won at least one individual or team
district championship. We have had many individual state participants
including six individual state champions in track and field. More importantly,
we are proud of the effort and dedication of the student/athletes
and coaches along with the parental support that make up our “Crusader
Family”. This hard work has established Coral Springs Christian
Academy as one of the top athletic programs of its size in Broward
County. I would like to offer a special invitation to our alumni to come
and check out the tradition that you helped develop with your perseverance
and commitment through the early years.
To our Alumni,
Advancement
—Mr. Matt Cleveland
Advancement Director
We hope you are enjoying our new alumni publication. It is imperative
that you as alumni know how special you are to CSCA. You have helped
build a foundation of excellence that is thriving even in these tough
economic times. We hope that you will enjoy the news and networking
that has happened through the CSCA alumni Facebook page as well.
Come back and visit whenever you can. You are always welcome.
We have made many strides this year in the Advancement Department.
We had our first annual Dinner, Dance, and Auction that was held on
January 23rd at the Parkland Golf and Country Club. We raised over
$29,000 in one night with the proceeds going to the General Fund. We
also began the Winterfest tradition at CSCA. This was held in the middle
of December. It included a Christmas Tree sale, a craft fair, a live
nativity, and performances by our elementary students. It was a great
day. We are working on our Annual Golf tournament which is always
a success. Also, TAP (Teachers and Parents) raised over $45,000 in the
annual Country fair this year. The advancement department and the
CSCA family have continued to grow and thrive!! God has truly blessed
us.
We have been able to build our much needed parking lot. Our athletic
facilities have been upgraded; smartboards are being put in classrooms.
Improvement is everywhere. We recently raised $85,000 through a
matching gift that allowed us to put a much needed new roof on Building
C. All of this is a tribute to God’s faithfulness. It has been a tough
year for Americans economically, but God has continued to provide for
CSCA. Please pray for us and God’s continued blessing on our school.
We look forward to seeing you on campus sometime in the near future!
