Lance Fisher
Hello there fellow alumni. Since my 13 years at CSCA ended
I’ve been doing what most of the rest of you have been
up to, trying to get a piece of paper that says I’m smart. I
began college at “The Citadel” but quickly learned that it
simply was not for me. After that I transferred to Florida
Gulf Coast University where I have been ever since. Life
is good although it seems to be going by faster and faster
every day. I hope all is well with everyone and if you feel
the urge to come to sunny Fort Myers please feel free to
look me up so we can grab some lunch and reminisce on
everything that made CSCA the place we all came to love
sooner or later.
Bridget Carney
I attended CSCA from 7th through 12th grade and graduated
with the class of 2006. Since then I have been at Florida
State University where I joined Kappa Kappa Gamma
which has taken CSCA’s place as my second home. I will
graduate in December 2009 with a B.S. in Family and Child
Sciences. After graduating from FSU, I plan to attend an
accelerated nursing program at Florida Atlantic University
and become a pediatric nurse. I still remain good friends
with many of my CSCA classmates and will never forget
the many memories of the time I spent at CSCA.
Heather Hendricks
I attended CSCA for my freshman year and didn’t have
the best year. I talked my parents into letting me do home
school but one Tuesday night my stepdad got me in the
car and took me to youth group. After meeting the people
I decided to go to CSCA and it was the greatest decision I
ever made. It changed my life completely around for the
better. I graduated in 2006 and moved to Tampa to support
myself and eventually get enrolled in college. As it turns
out I fell in love before I ever started college and now I’m
living in Melbourne with my wonderful significant other
josh and our gorgeous son Cameron I still talk to some of
my teachers that really had an impact on me. In some ways
I believe I owe my life to the teachers and administrators
at CSCA and no matter what they were always there for
me and helped me in high school. I am proud to be a CSCA
alumnus!
Kelli Chamberlain-Caro
I was one of a select group that spent their entire schooling
at CSCA. I started there before preschool and graduated in
2006. After graduating I started attending Florida Atlantic
University. I am majoring in Political Science and a second
major which is still being determined, and hopefully
graduating in May 2010. I attend Calvary Chapel Plantation
where I volunteer with the middle school girls and
love it! God has been doing amazing things in my life and
have been learning so much. I enjoy hanging out with my
fellow volunteers that have become my really close friends.
Michael Caro (the brother of my best friend and classmate,
Julia Caro.) and I were married May 16th, 2009. :)
Angélique Sturm
I graduated from CSCA in 2006 and ever since, I’ve been
an art major at the University of Mobile in Mobile, Ala-
14 | The Legacy
bama. The real South is quite a change from Florida, let
me tell you! I really love it here, and I’ve seen God work in
so many ways in my life. I know this is where I’m supposed
to be right now and I can see Him blessing my steps and
guiding me along even in the toughest times. I recently
stumbled upon a HUGE passion of mine: photography. I
didn’t have a clue I’d be interested in that until my third
year in college, but it has been so much fun playing around
in the darkroom and doing photo shoots of all my friends. I
still stay in touch with a handful of people from CSCA and
when I was last home for Christmas, I did a photo shoot of
one of them!
Christina Taylor
I started attending CSCA when I was in 4th grade and
graduated high school in 2006. That summer I went to
UCF where I still attend. I was originally a nursing major
but am now a sports and fitness major with a specialization
in human performance. I plan to graduate in august
of 2010. I work the recreation and wellness center on campus
as a group exercise and spin instructor, and also as
a sport club supervisor. I am also on the sports club exec
board and am vice president of the triathlon club. I started
competing in triathlon about a year and a half ago and
very recently signed on with a professional coach for a collegiate
developmental program. I hope to get my pro card
within the next year and take the sport to a whole new
level. If that doesn’t work out I would like to someday open
my own gym, and coach other triathletes out of it. CSCA is
definitely where I started my love of sports and made great
memories. I wouldn’t trade it for the world!!!
Margaux Deja
I graduated from CSCA in 2006. I transferred from public
school in 8th grade and did all my high school there. I miss
the close community and the people at CSCA! I am a in my
second to last semester at Emory University in Atlanta. I
was originally pre-med and like many changed my mind
and I am now an Anthropology and Human Biology Major
and a Global Health minor. I work part time at Starbucks,
which helps fill my caffeine addiction. I plan on going into
the Peace Corps when I graduate and then getting a Masters
in Public Health and a Nursing Degree and working
with infant and maternal nutrition.
