Parent & Tot Story Time takes place at the library on<br />
Wednesdays from 11 a.m. – noon. This is suitable for<br />
babies to 4 year-olds.<br />
Stories and crafts will be provided. For the time being,<br />
if you wish to have a snack for your children, please<br />
bring it with you. Note: this is a nut-free building.<br />
Family Literacy Day<br />
Family Literacy Day is coming up on <strong>January</strong> 27, 2<strong>01</strong>3<br />
and this year's theme is 15 Minutes <strong>of</strong> Fun. Family<br />
Literacy Day is a national awareness<br />
initiative created by ABC Life Literacy Canada in 1999<br />
and held annually to raise awareness <strong>of</strong> the<br />
importance <strong>of</strong> reading and engaging in other literacyrelated<br />
activities as a family.<br />
Taking time every day to read or do a learning activity<br />
with children is crucial to a child's development. Even<br />
just 15 minutes a day can improve a child's literacy<br />
