Renamil<br />

Renamil is a powdered high energy concentrate that has a low protein, low phosphate<br />

and low potassium content. Renamil is a Food for Special Medical Purposes.<br />

Presentation<br />

Renamil has a powdered milk-like taste.<br />

Renamil is available in 10 x 100 g sachets per box (1000 g).<br />

Recommended Intake<br />

Renamil must always be used under medical supervision. Renamil must only be used<br />

according to medical instructions taking into account the nutritional condition and nutritional<br />

requirements of the patient.<br />

To supplement the diet as a drink or food, to prevent and treat conditions of energy<br />

deficiency:<br />

100-200g (1 - 2 sachets) per day<br />

As a complete diet in the form of a drink or tube-feed, according to requirements:<br />

Average of 500 g (5 sachets) per day<br />

Indications<br />

Renamil is indicated for the dietetic treatment of an increased energy need of dialysis<br />

patients and renal patients following a low-protein diet.<br />

Contraindications<br />

Renamil is only a complete food when 5 sachets (500 g) are used daily.<br />

Renamil should not be used with children under 1 year of age.<br />

Persons who are allergic to cow’s milk or who have absorption problems should not<br />

consume Renamil.<br />

Renamil is not suitable for diabetics.<br />

Renamil is not for parenteral use.<br />

In exclusive nutrition with Renamil over several days the electrolyte status must be<br />

monitored.<br />
