Directions for use
Only use Renamil in foods and drinks allowed by your Dietitian. Count all fluids in your daily
allowance. Renamil dissolves easily in either cold or warm liquid. The amount of water
depends on the preferred consistency and water intake restriction.
Renamil can be mixed in 150-300 ml of water.
Poor a little water into a jug, large glass or mug.
Add a 100 g sachet of Renamil.
Mix into a smooth cream with a whisk or fork.
Add the remaining volume of water.
Or alternatively you may mix Renamil in a shaker.
Drinks
Renamil must be fully dissolved when added to liquids such as liquid diet preparations. The
amount of water depends on preferred consistency and water intake restriction. Renamil can
be used in the same way as milk powder. When dissolved, it can be used as drinking milk for
enriching meals and as a milk-substitute within the framework of daily nourishment. Fruit
syrup, vanilla powder or cinnamon may be added to vary the taste. When using more than
one sachet per day or feeding as a complete food, Renamil should be spread over several
mealtimes.
Tube-feeding preparations
Stir the powder into boiled water which has been allowed to stand for 5 minutes and then
stir again to remove any lumps. Select powder and water quantities according to energy
requirements and the required energy-density of the feeding solution (please refer to the
energy density table). Gradually increase the dosage, energy density and total amount to the
required levels.
